Minister of the Sea visits SEAentia

Two weeks have passed since we were honored with the visit of the illustrious Minister of the Sea, Dr. Ricardo Serrão Santos; the Director General for Maritime Policy, Dra. Helena Vieira; the Sub-Director General for Natural Resources, Safety and Maritime Services, Dra. Susana Batista along with their teams, and we are still getting the positive energy from that moment.

Sergio Leandro representing our partner Smart Ocean Peniche, as well as, Docapesca – Portos e Lotas, S.A. represented by Eng Ricardo Esteves and Dra. Ana Paulino were also present.

Our friend Carlos Espinal, from our long-term partners Landing Aquaculture took the chance to visit us on the same day and put his skills to practice by preparing a marvelous passion fruit ceviche with 3 corvinas harvested directly from their rearing tank. This is what we call fresh!

It was the second tasting moment of our corvinas and the confidence we had in the consistency and coherence of its quality was such that we’ve risked presenting them to our prestigious guests. The risk payed back since they were so enthusiastic of these fish as we were!

We couldn’t be more excited with the outcome of this pilot project to rear corvina in a sustainably managed RAS with the highest fish welfare standards. The confirmation of these excellent results is the green light we needed to start preparing an upscale to commercial produce these incredible fish.
