Blue BioTech Roadshow in the Azores!

The Blue BioTech Roadshow, empowering startups in the blue biotechnology sector in the Azores, has successfully concluded. At the Pitch Fest Day, 12 teams presented innovative ideas to expert judges. Notably, the AquaBioCatalysts project, extracting marine ingredients for the cosmetics industry, and the Circular Blue Group, creating textile fibers from marine waste, stood out. Bothprojects were awarded and will receive mentoring from the BlueBio Alliance.

In partnership with the BlueBio Alliance, Blue Azores seeks sustainable solutions and promotes collaboration among stakeholders in the blue biotechnology value chain. The importance of Marine Protected Areas and the sector’s development potential in the Azores are highlighted.
